Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Healers' Inservice Empty Healers' Inservice

Post by Khaat Lupin Thu Nov 18, 2010 3:16 am

Khaat had been working on this Inservice for quite awhile and had gained Doyle's permission to include the healers from St. Mungos as a part of this in order to keep their skills sharp. She had arranged for this to be a meeting that started at 10 am and to last until approximately 4 pm in the afternoon. The meeting was in the large staff training room on the 5th floor of the hospital, just down the hall from the healer's lounge.

She was serving a five star lunch from the St. Mungos top rated chef and was actually serving a buffet of the dishes that patients and visitors had raved about. It seemed to make sense to her to train the healers on St Mungo's strengths and get them to help to improve on the hospital's needs.

For this morning, though, she had given each healer a healer's manual and a notebook of information on the hospital, its improvements, and its policies and procedures. For those healers that didn't already have one, she was including for them a membership to the sparkling new massive fitness center.

She had had the food services department set up coffee, tea, and various cold beverages in order for the healers to be comfortable at this training. She set up the selection of beverages, cups, glasses, ice, etc., and distributed her meeting materials around the meeting table.

When Nick had heared about the meeting he had to get to st mungos early because he was late last time. When Nick walked in he went to the floor that he was susposed to and said "hi" to the healer known as Khaat. After saying hi Nick walked over to a chair and sat down. Nick wondered who all whould be there but he had met a fair share of them at oritantion. while waiting for the other healers and interns to arrive he brought out his book that he brought with him.

Mariana was supposed to work the nightshift today though she arrived several hours before once she recieved Khaat's notification about some sort of training. As she took a coffee once she apparated by the entrance, she hurried her way towards the upstairs not really sure where Khaat was holding this training. She passed by her office to change into her red uniform, put her wand in the pocket and continued walking further.

She threw her coffee that she finished in a sip into the trashcan into the corner and entered inside. Good thing was that she was on time, Bad thing was that she would probably wait a bit before someone else apart from them 3 would come. "Hi Khaat, Nick..How are you?" she said saluting them before she sat down next to Nick.

Sophia knew she haven't been working alot lately but after being tortured by Felix Barker she couldn't help not to wonder if she was going crazy. "Hello Khaat and Mari, long time no see how are you two?'Sophia askedthem softly. As she seen Nick she gave him a soft warm smile. "Why hello Nick."said Sophia softly. "Oh my mom said she'll be down here soon Khaat she's taking care of some paperwork upstairs."said Sophia softly. taking a sip of her french vanilla cappuccino she gotten from the Healer's Lounge.

Post by Brian Quinn Fri Nov 19, 2010 1:59 am

Brian arrived at the training. He had only taken on a healer's job part time with Khaat and Robert to be able to lend a hand if things got short. He had a lot of other interests, so he preferred to let the other healers absorb most of the healing responsibilities at St. Mungos. Khaat, however, had asked him to come, so he had no intention of refusing. He recognized everyone from previous meetings and greeted them all as he got himself a cup of coffee.

"Good morning, everybody," he smiled. "Khaat, please tell me I don't have to be a victim again for healing exercises."

Post by Robert Lupin Fri Nov 19, 2010 2:08 am

"I don't know," Robert said casually, entering, carrying a notepad with him, "I heard you made a rather fine victim. I was counting on using you to demonstrate some rather advanced wizarding surgical techniques, personally." He looked at Brian and saw Brian return a scowl at Robert's sarcasm.

"Good morning," Robert said to all those present. "Make yourselves at home and we'll get started in just a few moments." He made himself a cup of Earl Grey tea and went over to his place beside Khaat. He sat down and laid his notepad beside the materials Khaat had furnished.

His interest was in being certain that all the healers felt comfortable in whatever duties they were asked to do, and if there were questions about how to heal certain situations or conditions, Robert wanted any of them to feel comfortable in consulting with him at any point. He wanted this to be an open forum for questions of any kind.

"Good morning," Khaat smiled. "Glad you could join us. Take a moment if you need to, to make yourself at home. You'll find a packet of materials for you at your seat. And I do understand about how children can take your time when you least expect it."

She addressed the group as they settled in, "As we prepare to get started, lets start with some simple questions. Does anyone have any questions about any particular healing spells or potions that perhaps we can answer? Maybe it would break the ice a bit and help everyone feel a bit more comfortable."

OOC: This is your chance to ask any healing questions, IC, everyone. For example, questions about healing spells, potions, how St. Mungos works, etc. Anything.

Andrian was suppose to be working early shift, along with his other friends. But he wasn't really working today. He had be ordered by Khatt herself to meet her in the trianing room, it was suppose to give him a chance to improve his healing skills and teach him different, new procedure to do things. Don't get him wrong, he was always up to a bit of more trianing to increase his skill. He loved his work, it would be nice to know any knew trick of healing people so he could heal them. He arrived at the trianing and stood at the door, quitely. "Top of the morning!" he smiled, happily as he waved at everybody inside and walked over to the chair beside Sophia and sat down beside her.
