Hair: His hair periodically changes length hair and style – currently it is short, choppy and dark brown.

General Appearance: Cy is attractive and he knows it. He’s well built and is quite willowy. He has a graceful spring in his step as he walks and has often been seen dipping down as he moves. He has quite a few tattoos although his past caring what they are but he remembers clearly what each one is about. Cy’s state of dress is always quite interesting. He has a well sculpted chest and wears a lot of shirts that enhance this feature. He doesn’t like dressing to impress, preferring something causal but he loves disguises and other things like that which is why he changes his appearance so often. He has a love for trinkets and all types of jewellery, specifically rings and beads for his hair or to attach to clothing and other such things. Cyrus will religiously wear stripy socks during the winter and during the summer he’ll wear wristbands that are more or less the same colours. One thing he always wears is a golden cross that his mother used to wear before her death. His grandmother gave it to him when he left Hogwarts and he realised that it was the only sentimental thing that Rita could manage so he forever wears it now. Cyrus can also occasionally be seen wearing glasses.

General Personality: Cyrus is much like his grandmother due to her influence during his childhood. He is incredibly nosy and will do anything to get a good story but he does know when to end it unlike his grandmother who loves to make life difficult for people. He is a nice guy when it suits him but he is more reporter than anything else. Cy is incredibly flamboyant and very effeminate. He speaks in a rather drunken way and the drawl is incredibly entrancing when you listen to it. He is always looking for ways to better himself and his own social position but he is also unyielding and cruel when need be. But he is a good man underneath it all even if he can barely remember his name after a night of boozing. He is kind when it suits him and an attentive lover although it’s nothing more than that. He’s got a fear of commitment and has no plans to change that fear as of yet. He has some odd traits such as fearing Muggles and he hates pushy women. But other than that and the bizarre quirks he’s not a bad guy, he’s just had a bad influence but everyone likes the badass, right?

Childhood: Cyrus was born in the United States. He wasn’t exactly planned nor was he expected but his parents brought him into the world and they couldn’t wait to settle down and raise him. They did just that for the first couple of years of his life but Vienna and Martin lost their lives in an accident at a Quidditch pitch in Texas not long after. The team were practicing and they were checking out the architecture inside for a rebuild when one of the players span out of control and flew into the lights. That set off a chain reaction and the stadium exploded, taking them and everyone inside with it.
So, Cyrus was sent to live with his grandmother in England. No one had really prepared the child for the harem that seemed to revolve around Rita Skeeter but the child seemed to love it immensely. Rita taught him everything she knew even from a young age. This was mostly due to the fact that Cyrus never really wanted anything to do with the other children in the area. She set him off writing as soon as he knew how to speak properly and write in cursive and that didn’t take long at all.
Cyrus had a love for reading and Rita indulged this passion. By his tenth birthday Cyrus had as many books as one could handle ad Rita was close to giving him a second bedroom just to fill it all. He’d read all of the reading material for Hogwarts by then and was light years ahead of his classmates which pleased his grandmother to no end. He had an interesting childhood to say the least. It would be fair to say that with Rita Skeeter as his grandmother, Cyrus could never be bored.
Hogwarts: Cyrus was the black sheep of Hogwarts. He made Hermione Granger look like a complete and utter fool but that wasn’t coincidental. He was probably the smartest eleven year old you could come across and he wasn’t lazy about learning either. He had a thirst, a need, to learn and he made sure the professors added fuel to that fire. His marks were impeccable in every lesson except perhaps Divination because the old bat that taught it in Harry Potter’s time was still there and didn’t understand Cyrus’ logical mind. That probably explained why he turned all of her teacups into rats during his third year. He left Hogwarts with high grades in all of his lessons bar Divination of course and was getting job offers from anyone and everyone but he turned all of them down. At first he was going to work for the Daily Prophet but his grandmother sent him in the direction of the Quibbler, telling him that no one would believe anything the Prophet says – that the Quibbler is the best read at that time.
Adulthood: Not much can be said for Cyrus’ ‘adulthood’. He was taken up by the Quibbler and has been working there ever since. Recently though he has caught his big break, receiving a column especially for him. Naturally he is thrilled but it gives him a lot more opportunities to explore some of the scandals of the Wizarding world. He will do anything – anything – for the big scoop and won’t stop as long as he gets it. For the first issue he plans on covering one of the biggest current news stories and with it he plans his rise to fame, fortune and general dislike from the Wizarding public. Cy plans on revolutionising the Wizarding worlds and making it a place where gossip is the number one source of entertainment again.
